Optional System Configurations If you believe that it is essential to have a 'Hard Copy' print of your patients' ear canal and tympanic membrane, there are two basic alternatives to consider. Your Video Otoscope System can be configured with a video printer (approximate cost per print $1.20). Or you may prefer to use your computer with a quality color printer (approximate cost per print $.03 to $.20) The PROFESSIONAL Video Otoscope will work well with either option. Note a Monitor of your choice is extra. We recommend that you consider a Sony Trinitron Product, either a 9" or 13" Television set. Basic System With Monitor and Video Printer Printer Specs Please Note: A variety of Printers are available for use with the Professional. When Snappy or another frame grabber is employed with your computer, the Cannon, Epson or Hewlett Packard color printers give excellent color copies at a very reasonable cost. Other video printers are available from Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Fuji and others. Please call for quotation and our recommendations. Advanced System If you choose to use The PROFESSIONAL with your computer, you will need a 'Frame Grabber' such as "SNAPPY" with Fauve Matisse, its associated software. With this option you may use your computer monitor and/or an additional monitor. (Our camera system has both S Video and Composite Video Outputs). A mouse or a handheld remote will enable you to 'Snap the Picture'. In our experience, this is the most cost effective method for storing patient data and producing a quality color print when it is required.
